The Annual General Meeting was held in Pairc na nOg on Friday 14th January with Fr. Tomas O'Connell celebrating Mass prior to the meeting. There was a good sized attendance at the meeting and Chairman, Tom Meehan welcomed everybody and he had a particular welcome for those attending for the first time.
Sean Coffey produced a very detailed Secretary's Report in which he outlined details of the achievements of each team during the year. The report also gave the results of all matches involving our championship teams and it gave an overview of all events in the club during 2010.
Treasurer, Liam McCarthy circulated the Financial Report and it oulined our income and expenditure for the year. The report showed a surplus for the year with our main source of income being the County Board Draw. The report created some discussion and all were in agreement that we will have to look at other means of raising additional funding.
Chairman, Tom Meehan gave a wide ranging address in which he thanked his fellow officers and committee members and all the mentors of the various age groups. He said it was another very successful year for Durlas Og on the playing fields culminating with Durlas Og being awarded Mid Club of the Year. He gave an update on developing works and the Chairman stated that it is expected that works will commence on developing an additonal pitch during the coming year. Tom was thanked for his great work for Durlas Og.
All outgoing officers were re-elected with the exception of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer and these positions will be filled at the Adjourned Annual Meeting on Tuesday 1st February.
There was a number of items discussed in any other business and prior to closing the meeting Chairman, Tom Meehan thanked everyone for their attendance and a most constructive meeting.
