Durlas Og - Tipperary Star Notes

The following notes were published in this weeks Tipperary Star:

Under 8
Training as usual on Saturday morning at 10.00 a.m. for Under 8 and Academy players.

Under 10
Training as usual on Saturday morning at 10..0 a.m.  Football training on Wednesday evening at 7.00 p.m.

Under 12
Our ‘A’ team will play J.K. Brackens in Templemore next Tuesday.  Training as advised by mentors.

Under 14
Both our ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams were in action during the week. Our ‘A’ team hosted Boherlahan/Dualla on Monday. We performed well and ran out comfortable winners with good performances from Dylan Costello, Cian Stakelum, Jack Lanigan and Ben Murphy. We play J.K. Brackens on Thursday. Our ‘B’ team travelled to Drombane to take on Upperchurch/Drombane on Thursday and after an entertaining game Upperchurch emerged victorious despite the best efforts of Cathal Hayes, Brian Long and Eoghan Ryan.

Under 16
Last week saw the start of the league for our two hurling teams. The ‘A’ team defeated Drom/Inch in The  Ragg while the ‘B’ recorded a win at home to The Gaels. The first team play Gortnahoe/Glengoole this Tuesday with the second team having a challenge match later in the week .

Saturday saw the first day of our under sixteen ten a side tournament .Durlas Og Portlaoise ,Dicksboro and Murroe Boher qualified for the semi final stages next weekend after a great days hurling .
Thanks to all who helped on the day especially the ladies who helped with the catering and the players who helped as umpires and linesmen.

Many thanks to those that contributed to our Church Gate Collection last weekend.  Thanks also to those that assisted on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
