The following notes were published in this weeks Tipperary Star:
Under 8 and Academy
Thanks to Moycarkey for visiting us last Saturday. In total we had about 120 players hurling at under 6 and under 8 with at least 6 matches being played at any time. The games were very competitive with tremendous skill and enthusiasm being shown by both sets of players. Thanks to all the mentors and adults who helped make the morning such a success. A special word of thanks to our under 16 players who refereed the matches.
Training as normal next Saturday at 10 o'clock.

Under 8’s football: we will be travelling to Holycross this (Wednesday) evening to play Holycross in a challenge match. Bus leaving at 6.30 sharp.

Under 10.
Last Saturday we travelled to Edenderry, Co. Offally at their kind invitation to take part in their annual under 10 tournament. Teams from 7 different counties travelled to ths illustrious event, and Durlas Og didn’t let Tipperary down, winning 4 of their 5 matches. While we were disappointed not to reach the final we topped our group, beating Naomh Eanna (Wexford), Sarsfields (Cork), Clough Ballacolla (Laois) and Thomastown,(Kilkenny) who emerged overall winners, having beaten Oranmore in the final. We returned to Thurles exhausted but well fed around 7.00 that evening, and we would like to extend a big thank you to Edenderry for the hospitality shown us. Edenderry have posted footage of the tournament on their page on Facebook so be sure to log on and check it out.
Training this week at usual times: Football on Wednesday at 7.00 and Hurling on Saturday morning at 10.00.

It was another busy week for our teams. The third team had a great game against Thurles Gaels which ended in a draw. The second team continued the trend with a draw against Loughmore. The first team played two games, losing to Drom and beating Boherlahen in testing conditions.
