The following notes were published in last weeks Tipperary Star:

Training as usual on Saturday morning at 10.00 a.m. for Under 8 and Academy players.

Training on Saturday at 10.00 a.m.  Football training on Wednesday evening at 7.00 p.m.

We had mixed fortunes against J.K. Brackens last week.  Our ‘A’ team were victorious while our ‘C’ suffered defeat. Our three Under 12 teams will be in action this week.  Check Durlas Og website for fixtures.

Our Under I4 hurlers are in the middle of a busy schedule at the moment. Our ‘B’ team had two games during the week. First up was a home game against Gortnahue on Thursday  where despite the best efforts of David Mawe, Aaron Mulcaire and Oisin O Brien we were defeated. On Saturday we hosted Loughmore and in an exciting game we lost out by 3 points. There were good performances from Dean Fanning, Sean Collins and Dean O Halloran. We are due to play Thurles Gaels in Kickham Park this week while our ‘A’ team are due to play their first game away to Drom/Inch. We would again like to thank all those who sponsored us , organised events, participated in events and supported us in any way in the preparations for our participation in the Feile Peil na nOg which was held on the last weekend in June.

Last week saw the start of the hurling league for our second team . The team played Boherlahan/Dualla and came away with a narrow victory after a great contest . This week sees our fist team in action against Moycarkey/Borris.

Well done to all our players who represented Tipperary at the weekend in the Munster football tournaments. Joe Dwan, Kieran Costello and Patrick Stakelum played on the Under 14 team, Kevin Bracken, Frank Mc Kevitt, Conor Murphy and Barry McGrath played with the Under 15’s and William Creedon and Michael Purcell with the Under 16’s. P.J. Bowden was a selector with the Under 14’s.
Many thanks to those that contributed to our Church Gate Collection last weekend.  Thanks also to those that assisted on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
We will be providing a carpark in Pairc na nOg on Sunday for patrons attending the Munster Hurling finals.
