Our thanks to the main organiser, Phil Brennan for all his efforts and sincere thanks to those that supported the event. Finally many thanks to Frida, Margaret and the ladies for looking after the catering needs on the night. Congratulations to the winners on the night: 1st: Joe Mockler and Joan Dorney, 2nd : Eileen Doyle, Paddy Doyle, and 3rd: Martin O’ Grady and Sean Fogarty.

Scor na bPáistí
Our club had a large number of participants in the Scor na bPaisti, Mid Tipperary Semi-Finals held in Moyne on Saturday 21 January. Special congratulations to Jenny Irwin in the Recitation Category, Rory Fogarty. David Mawe and Kieran Costello in Trath na gCeisteanna and our Rince set team of Jenny Irwin, Sean Collins, Niamh Purcell, Sadhbh Leahy, Katelyn Ruddy, Amy Nolan, Aine O`Connell and Peter Wall who have all qualified for the Mid-Tipperary Finals to be held in Clonmore next Friday 27th.

Also well done to our other competitors, Aine Purcell in solo singing, instrumental group of Sadhbh Leahy, Jenny Irwin, Niamh Purcell and Sean Madden. Ballad group of Jenny Irwin, Aine Purcell, Niamh Purcell and Sadhbh Leahy, who all performed excellently. Hard luck also to our novelty act team of Ben Murphy, Kevin Bracken, Kieran Costello, Conor Stapleton, Sean Costello and Robbie Stapleton who put on a fantastic show which received tremendous response from the audience but unfortunately failed to win the approval of the judges.

Finally a word of thanks to Scoil Ailbhe for allowing us to use their hall for a practice rehearsal, and to the Moyne Templetouhy Club for their excellent hosting of the event.
