Under 8 and Academy

Academy: Training continues as normal from 10.00 to 11.00 next Saturday. Boys should be in Pairc na nOg before 10.00 so that training can start promptly.

Under 8: Thanks to Portlaoise Under 8s for visiting us last Saturday, we played some very competitive games and we had a most enjoyable morning's hurling.

Best wishes and a speedy recovery to Tommy Maher following his recent illness.

Under 10.

The under 10s had a big day out last Saturday, we travelled to Whitehall, at their kind invitation to play a challenge match. We enjoyed a great afternoons hurling, topped off with super hospitality, before going on to Croke Park to watch Tipperary take on Dublin. Special thanks to those parents who travelled with on the day.

U12 GAELIC FOOTBALL

Our U12 s had a very busy week with our A and B teams both having two Gaelic Football matches. The action started on Bank Holiday when we hosted a double header against JK Brackens. Our A team, despite a big effort lost out in a hard fought game. Ben Murphy, Kevin Bracken and Dylan Ryan amongst others played well.

For our B team a strong first half performance laid the foundations for a good win, though we had to withstand a strong second half rally from JK Brackens before emerging victorious with Jamie Donavan, Jack Lanigan and Cian Stakelum performing well.

Both teams were in action again on Saturday morning. Our A team were away to Boherlahan Dualla and despite good performances from Dylan Costello, Frank McKevitt and Conor Murphy we went down to a strong home side. Our B team travelled to Kickham Park to play Thurles Gaels. In a close game the teams were level at half time and despite us going in front it was the home team who finished strongly to edge us out in the end. There were good performances from Aaron Mulchaire, Kieran Costello, Patrick Stakelum and Jordan Fahy.

Under 14.

We had two games last weekend . First up on Saturday we played Cahir in a football challenge .This was a very good game with excellent football played by both teams. On Sunday we played Portlaoise in a hurling challenge. Again this was a great game with a good all round performance by the team. Next Saturday we play Drom in the Feile quarter final in Pairc na nOg. Training continues on Tuesday at 6.30.The Mentors and players of the under fourteens wish Peter Creedon the best of luck with his new appointment as Tipperary senior football manager
