The following Durlas Og notes were published in this weeks Tipperary Star:

Academy and Under 8.

Under 8: We will be taking part in the Go Games Blitz taking place in Dr. Morris Park on Saturday morning. Academy: training as usual.

 Under 10.

Last Saturday we travelled to Patrickswell, Limerick at their kind invitation, to take part in a blitz.

On the day there were teams from Upperchurch/ Drombane, Ballybrown and Kilmihil. Durlas Óg fielded two teams on the day, and we played against Ballybrown, Kilmihil and Patrickswell. All matches were very competitive and we really enjoyed the day. We would like to thank Patrickswell for the hospitality on the day, and we hope to return the invitation at a later date.

Training: Saturday morning at 10.00am for hurling and Wednesday evening at 7.00pm for football.

 Under 12

Our u-12 panels had a busy week with both the A and B Gaelic Football teams in action on Tuesday April 17. Our A team beat Holycross Ballycahill to qualify for the Mid Semi Final. In a hard fought match we led at half time by two points and a similar margin separated us at the final whistle. There were good performances from Killian Ryan, Sean Butler and Killian Donaghy.

Our B team played their final group match v Moycarkey and again it was a close encounter. Playing against the wind in the first half our backs were excellent and we went in at half time just four points behind. A goal by Eoin Purcell got us back into the game and we eventually sent over a number of points to run out winners by a four point margin. There were fine performances from Cathal Hayes, Kieran Costello, Paddy Stakelum and Sean Collins.

On Sunday morning we hosted na Piarsaigh of Cork in Pairc na n-Og in an enjoyable hurling challenge game.

Under 14.

Football: Last Thursday our first team had a convincing win over Drom & Inch . This puts us in second place in the league with one game remaining. This game takes place in Littleton on Thursday against Moycarkey.

Hurling: Our second team play Roscrea this Tuesday in a challenge match.

 Under 15 & Under 16.

Durlas Og had plenty of representation last weekend on the Mid Tipperary Under 15 and Under 16 teams that played in their divisional tournaments.

Jamie Curtis, Jack Derby, Cathal Moloney and Rory Purcell all played starring roles in the Mid Divisions victory in the Rodger Ryan Under 15 tournament. Conor Stakelum was a selector. Well done on a tremendous victory.

The Under 16 Mid team reached the final of the Garda Cup but were beaten by the North. We were well represented on the team by Sean Butler, Luke Kelly, Faoilán Linnane, Billy McCarthy, Paul Sammon and Thomas Skehan.
