Durlas Og - Tipperary Star Notes

The following notes were published in this weeks Tipperary Star:
 

Under 6 and Academy.
On Saturday, May 19th, our Under 8 boys will be playing in a hurling blitz in Dr. Morris Park. Boys should be in Durlas Og at the normal time of 10 o’ clock., from there they will be brought across to Dr. Morris Park to play in the blitz. Academy/ under 6 training will take place as normal.

Parents of under 6 and under 8 boys are asked to attend a brief meeting (15-20 mins) in Durlas Ó at 10.00am on Saturday morning (May 19th).

 Under 10.
Last Saturday we took place in a blitz, we played teams from Toomevara, Nenagh and Clonoulty-Rossmore. We enjoyed a great mornings hurling. On Saturday, May 19th we hope to travel to Ballygunner, Waterford to take part in a blitz at their kind invitation. Further details later.

Football training as usual on Wednesday evening at 7.00.

 Under 12
Our run in the U 12 B Gaelic Football came to an end last Tuesday in Kickham Park when we were beaten in the Mid Semi Final by Thurles Gaels. Despite having plenty of possession we struggled to get the necessary scores. There were strong performances from Cian Stakelum Kieran Costello,Jack Lanigan, Eoin Purcell, Paddy Stakelum and Cathal Hayes among others. Overall we had a great run in this competition winning six of the eight games played. Well done to all the panel for their effort and commitment. Our attention now turns to the hurling competition starting soon.

Under 14.
Last Friday our first team qualified for the mid semi final by defeating Drom.T hey now play J K Brackens in the Mid semi final at home on Thursday .On Monday our second team played Moycarkey in their mid semi final.
