Durlas Og - Tipperary Star Notes

Thye following notes were published in this weeks Tipperary Star:

Under 8 and Academy.
Durlas Og u8s played in the County Blitz last Saturday the 19th. We had 3 teams and all boys played 3 matches each. A great day was had by all.

We would like to thank Andy Ryan for Organising the day.
U8s will be travelling to Littleton to take part in a blitz on Saturday 26th May. Players to be in Páirc na Nog at 9.45.

U6s Academy will have training as normal 10-11.

Under 10.
The under 10’s travelled to Ballygunner, Waterford, at their kind invitation to take part in a blitz. We played teams from Birr, O’ Loughlin Gaels from Kilkenny, as well as the hosts, Ballygunner. We would like to thank Ballygunner for their invitation, and the hospitality shown us on the day. We hope to return the invitation at some point in the future.

Training at the usual times in the coming week. Football on Wednesday at 7.00, and hurling on Saturday morning at 10.00

Under 12.
We played two enjoyable challenge matches against Roscrea on Wednesday night last. Training continues on Saturday and Wednesday.

Under 14.
Last week both football teams played their mid semi finals. On Monday our second team had a big win over Moycarkey. All players on the night played super football and they now go on to play Thurles Gaels in the mid final on Thursday in the Ragg at 7 o clock.

On Thursday our first team were beaten by J K Brackens .

Under 16.
Congratulations to out Under 18s on winning the shield at the prestigious James Stephens tournament. Although they lost to the hosts they bounced back with a one point victory against Rower Inistioge and followed this with a comprehensive win in the shield final against Mooncoin.

Tipperary V Limerick, May 27th.

We are running a guess the score competition for Tipperary V Limerick. Cards have been distributed to members, and we hope that the competition will be well supported.

Just a reminder that the first draw will take place at the end of the month, and we would encourage all club members to support the draw. Tickets are available from Ger Donnolly.
