The following notes were published in this weeks Tipperary Star:

Academy & Under 8.
Training as usual on Saturday morning at 10.00.

Under 10.
The blitz last Saturday morning was a great success, the weather even obliged us on the day. We would like to thank the teams, and their mentors, from Fethard, Clonakenny, and Upperchurch, for travelling to participate. There was some lovely hurling on display on the day, and it was great to see so many parents turn out to support the teams.

The footballers took part in a blitz on Wednesday evening, further detail to follow.
On Saturday, at 4.30 we will be travelling to play in a blitz organized by Wolf Tones (Clare), we will not be having training on Saturday morning as result. Football will take place as usual on Wednesday evening.

Under 12.
The Shield continued last week with mixed fortunes for our A and B teams. Our A team travelled to Holycross to take on the hosts. We put in a strong first half and led by a point at the interval. However Holycross had the better of the second half and despite the best efforts of Jack Lanigan, Cian Stakelum and Conor Murphy we were unable to secure victory. Our B team made the short journey to Kickham Park to play Thurles Gaels. We started well with a Peter Wall goal and led by a point at half time In an exciting second half further goals from Luke Fogarty and Joe Dwan saw us secure a four point victory. As well as those mentioned there were also strong performances from Ben Murphy, Killian Donaghy and Sean Collins. All three teams are in action this week.

Under 14.
Our 1st team played Clonoulty Rossmore in the County Semi Final on Saturday last. They played very well in the first half and went in at half time leading by a point after playing against the wind. Near the end of normal time we were leading by 2 points but a run of three points from Clonoulty saw the west team winning by a point. The mentors would like to thank the players for the great effort they have put in through out the season. Our second team having defeated Upperchurch last Thursday now play Thurles Gaels on Thursday night in Durlas Og at 6.30pm.
