Our U12 B team played in the Shield semi final when they travelled to Castleiney to play the hosts last Monday evening. This was a hugely exciting contest with the lead changing hands on numerous occasions and only a point separating the sides at the end. Loughmore started well with an early goal but Sean Collins had us level within minutes. The game continued in a similar fashion for the remainder of the half and three goals from Rory Fogarty saw us lead by a point at the break. Again Loughmore started the second half well but we responded and a fourth goal from Rory Fogarty saw us back in front with minutes remaining. But Loughmore scored the last two points to win it by the tightest of margins. Overall this was a great game and enormous credit must go to both sides. As well as those already mentioned we had great performances from Killian Donaghy Joe Dwan and Ben Murphy. Our U12 Astro League starts next Friday.

Last Thursday our second team defeated Upperchurch in the shield final.Having played with the wind in the first half we trailed by two points but to the credit of each and every player on the panel we fought back to win on a scoreline of 1-09 to 1-05.Our captain Christopher Carew accepted the shield on behalf of the team. The next competition we play is the U13 all county league which is due to start next Saturday

Best Wishes.
Durlas Og extends its best wishes to our former players Ronan Maher, Stephen Cahill, Conor Lanigan and the Tipperary team in the All Ireland Minor Hurling final reply against Dublin on Sunday. Go n-eirí and t-ádh libh.
