The under
10s travelled to St. Finbarr’s in Cork to participate in the John ‘Bawnie’
Mehegan Perpetual Tournament. This was a return visit, as we won the tournament
cup outright last year, we managed to come second this year, having played
against St. Finbarrs, Abbeyside and Blackrock. We would like to thank all
involved in St. Finbarr’s for organizing a great tournament, providing wonderful
hospitality and making a real occasion out of the day, complete with a parade
and medal presentation. A very enjoyable day Go raibh maith agaibh.
Football
training has finished for this season and we wish all those who are moving on to
under 12’s the best of luck, we also look forward to welcoming the new players
who will be joining us in the spring.
