Ballacolla travelled to play us in a challenge match last Saturday, and we thank them for a very sporting and competitive game. It was great to see such a big turn-out from the Durlas Óg lads, well done.

Under 12.

It was a very busy week for our U12 Gaelic Football teams. On Saturday 30 March both our A and B teams travelled to Littleton to play Moycarkey. First into action was our B team. In a very exciting game we fought back from a half time deficit to eventually emerge winners by five points. There were great performances from Liam Kenny, Luke Fogarty, Conor Whitehead and Oisin O Brien. This game was followed by our A team taking on a very accomplished home side. Moycarkey started well but two Eoin Purcell goals had us right back in the game at half time. Despite our best efforts in the second half Moycarkey ran out winners in the end. There were strong performances from Jack Lanigan, Conor Stapelton, Kieran Costello and Eoin Purcell.

Both teams were in action again on Tuesday 2 April. Our B team played Thurles Gaels and after playing with the breeze we led at half time. However in a close second half we were eventually defeated by a point. There were strong performances from Conor Fogarty, Dean Fanning,Luke Beresford and David Mawe. Our A team went down by the same margin to JK Brackens. We trailed by six points at the break but a strong second half performance saw us hold our opponents scoreless but we still ended up one point short despite the best efforts of Cian Stakelum Joe Dwan, Paddy Creedon and Sean Collins.
