on Saturday morning at 10.00 am in Páirc
as usual on Saturday at 10.00 am, Football for Under 10s on Wednesday evening at
our A and B teams were in action last week. On Monday April 8 our B team
travelled to Clonakenny to play the home team. We were against the wind in the
first half and struggled to get going as the hosts raced into an early lead. We
played much better in the second half and reduced the deficit but Clonakenny ran
out deserving winners. There were strong performances from Aaron Mulchaire,Oisin
O Brien, David Mawe and Eoghan Ryan. The following evening our B team travelled
to play Moyne Templetouhy and turned in their best performance of the year so
far. A good start set us on our way and strong performances from Cian Stakelum,
Kieran Costello, Peter Wall and James Armstrong among others saw us safely to
victory. The league section of this competition is now over and both our A and B
teams have qualified for the semi finals.
week our second team had a good win against Upperchurch in the football league.
In testing conditions we had good performances from Dylan Costello, Sean Butler
and Kevin Bracken. This week we have four games with the first team playing on
Tuesday and Thursday while the second team play on Wednesday and
16 A played a match against Moycarkey on
Monday, April 8th, and they won on the night, the B team were in action the same
night, against Thurles Gaels, who were comprehensive
winners. The 16B team were in action against Clonakenny on Monday April
15th, report to follow.
