Durlas Og - Tipperary Star Notes

The following notes were published in this weeks Tipperary Star:
 
UNDER 8 AND ACADEMY
Hurling training as usual this Saturday morning at 10.00 a.m. New players are most welcome.
 
UNDER 10
Hurling and football training at the usual times.  Hurling at 11.00 a.m. on Saturday and football at 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday.
 
UNDER 12
Our  Under 12 hurlers continued their good form last week with both our ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams successful in their matches which were played in Pairc na nOg. First up our ‘A’ team were in action against Upperchurch/Drombane and with Dara Stakelum, Sean Collins, Jordan Fahy and Jack Lanigan in top form, we ran out comfortable winners. Our ‘B’ team were up against Holycross/Ballycahill in an excellent match and we ran out winners by two points. There were strong performances from Cian McDonnell,Luke Beresford, Dean Fanning and Jack O Dwyer. Training continues at the usual times.
 
UNDER 14
Last week saw the start of the league round of games for both our teams. On Monday the first team defeated Boherlahan/Dualla and they  followed this with a victory over Moycarkey/Borris in Littleton on Thursday. Also on Thursday the second team had a great win against a strong Clonakenny team. This coming week sees the second team at home to Moycarkey/Borris on Tuesday with the  first team away to Gortnahoe/Glengoole on Thursday.
 
Durlas Og extends its best wishes to Holycross/Ballycahill in the All Ireland Feile na nGael finals this weekend.
 
UNDER 16
The Mid Under 16 hurling championships commenced on Monday evening.  The second round of matches will be played next Monday.  The ‘A’ team will play Holycross/Ballycahill in Holycross and the ‘B’ team are away to Upperchurch/Drombane in Drombane at 7.00 p.m.
 
COMMITTEE MEETING
The monthly committee meeting will be held this Thursday in Aras na nOg at 9.00 p.m.  A representative from each age group is requested to attend.
 
CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
Our annual Church Gate collection will be held this weekend.  Anybody in a position to assist on Saturday evening or Sunday is asked to contact Secretary, P.J. Bowden..
