The following notes were published in this weeks Tipperary Star:
Under 8 and Academy.
Hurling training on Saturday morning at 10.00.
Under 8s: Football training on Wednesday evening on 7.00
Under 8 & Under 10 blitz.
Thanks to all who helped with the hospitality for the blitz last Saturday. We would like to thank Michael Cusacks (Galway) and Holycross for travelling to play us. Durlas Óg fielded four teams, Holycross had two teams as did Michael Cusacks, each team played three matches, and the weather obliged us and all in it made for a great mornings hurling.
Training as usual on Saturday morning at 10.00 am. Football at 7.00pm on Wednesday evening.
REMINDER: Please bring Gum Shields for Football on Wednesday evening.
Both our A and B teams were in action in the Shield Competition last week. Our A team travelled to Boherlahan to take on the home side. They turned in a solid performance with strong displays from Dara Stakelum, Kieran Costello, Jack Lanigan and Eoin Purcell and ran out winners. Meanwhile our B team had home advantage against Drom. They had to dig deep to overturn a large half time deficit. Strong performances from Conor Whitehead, Oisin O Brien, Sean Madden David Mawe and Aaron Mulchaire saw us earn a deserved draw
Last Thursday our second team continued their good form in the 14 B shield with a win over Templetuohy. Next Saturday sees both teams in action in their county semi finals with the first team playing Carrick Swans and the Second team playing Fethard
Training as advised by mentors.
Well done to our players who represented Tipperary at various tournaments last weekend. On the under sixteens we had Jack Derby, Cathal Moloney and Rory Purcell. Bill Darcy and Mathew Kelly played for the victorious under fifteens while Christopher Carew and Michael Purcell played for the under fourteens
Our monthly meeting will take place on Thursday, September 5th, at 8.30, in the club house.
