Last Saturday Wolf Tones ( Clare) travelled up to attend the Under 21 final in Semple Stadium and played us in a challenge match before hand, the hurling was of the highest standard and we would like to thank the players and mentors for the challenge match. We would also like to thank the parents who helped out with catering on the evening and all those who provided sandwiches, cakes and buns, they were much appreciated. Go raibh maith agaibh.

We hosted a football blitz on Wednesday evening, J.K. Brackens and Roscrea took part. Each club fielded 2 teams who played 3 games of good, competitive football each, a great evening was had by all. Thanks to the teams and their mentors for coming to play us.

Training on Wednesday will take place at the earlier time of 6.30, and training on Saturday will be at the usual time of 10.00am.

Under 12
All three of our teams were in Shield action this week. Our A team travelled to Littleton to face county champions Moycarkey Borris. In a very exciting game the teams finished all square. There were great performances from Jack Lanigan, Kieran Moloney Frank McKevitt and Kieran Costello. Our B team were in action against the same opposition. We started slowly and found ourselves in arrears at the break. A much improved second half perfomance was unfortunately not enough to wipe out the deficit. There were good performances from Sean Collins, Jack Dwyer Rory Fogarty and Sean Kennedy. Our C team hosted JK Brackens in their final group match and emerged with an excellent two point win with great efforts from Conor Stapelton Liam Kenny Nill Dwan and Cormac Flynn in a fine team performance

Under 14.
Last Thursday night our second team defeated Thurles Gaels in the shield competition. We now play Upperchurch in the final this Thursday night at 6pm in Durlas Og. Training continues as advised by mentors.
