Our Under 7's had a great win in the Joe Giles memorial hurling tournament hosted by J.K. Brackens recently. Great wins against Kilmacud Crokes, Holycross and Brackens set the team up for a final with Holycross which they won impressively.

Outstanding performances all day from vice-captain and centre back Diarmuid Barrett and wing back and captain Ciaran O'Mahony set the tone for victory here and they were ably assisted in defence by Ryan Quill, Luca Ryan, Darren O'Brien and David Hanna.  The firepower upfront on the day came from Jack Broderick, Jim O'Neill, Jack Moore and Daragh Burke while Conor O'Dwyer and Josh Connors did a great job in midfield providing ammunition for a dangerous forward line.

Our Under 8's also had a great day in the P.J. Jones memorial hurling tournament again hosted by J.K. Brackens. They recorded impressive wins against Kilmacud Crokes and Holycross before being narrowly defeated by a two points margin by J.K. Brackens in the final.

We had some outstanding individual performances and emotions were running high amongst our boys in the immediate aftermath of the game.  This is testament to their commitment and attitude.  They hurled with great spirit all day and never dropped their heads even when things seemed to be going away from them.  Among those who impressed most were: James Mockler, Ciaran Rossiter, Andy Rossiter, Bobby Dowd, Aaron Darmody, Donagh Hickey, Daragh Dwyer, Tom Gleeson, Eoin Webb, Conor Carroll, Euan Murray and George Barry.
All of our players behaved impeccably on the day and are a credit to their families and club.  Sincere thanks to all involved with J.K. Brackens for hosting such a memorable event.
