The following Mid Bord na nOg notes were published in last weeks Tipperary Star:

With baited breath we waited for the arrival of the hurling championships which have this week commenced with an air of expectant enthusiasm. It is going to be full steam ahead for the next few months as we roll forward in earnest to see who will come out on top at the end of which we hope will be rewarding and exciting championships for all our players and clubs. Already the first rounds of the U12 championships have thrown in, the first match in U14B championship is on June 12th, U14A on June 19th and U14C two days later on June 21st. The U16 championships commence after the junior cert exams on Monday June 30th, so a lot to look forward to.

Congratulations to the Moycarkey-Borris U14 football panel who have reached the ‘A’ county final on Saturday week following their semi-final victory on Wednesday night. We send best wishes to Holycross-Ballycahill in the U14B semi-final this Saturday.

Sympathy – On behalf of the officers and clubs of Mid Tipp Coiste na nÓg, we extend our deepest sympathy to John and Lar Devane and the Devane family on the sad passing of their mother Mary last week having just turned her ninety-seventh year. John is current Mid Senior Bórd Chairman and Lar is Chairman of the Boherlahan-Dualla Club and also a long time sponsor of our U12 championships with Snap Printing. Ar dheis Dé go raimh a anaim ací.

Again, we send best wishes to all students who have commenced their exams and hope that everything goes according to plan for them.
