Our Under 16 qualified for the County 'A' hurling final when they defeated Nenagh Eire Og by 2-11 to 0-8 in the semi final played in Templetouhy on Saturday. We played with a gale force wind in the opening half and lead by 5 points after 7 minutes. But Nenagh settled and fought their way back into the game. A brilliant goal by Jack Lanigan just before half time was crucial for us and we lead by 1-8 to 0-2 at half time. Nenagh put us under huge pressure in the second half but our backs were outstanding and never allowed them to get the goal they needed. Three minutes from the end, substitute Peter Wall scored our second goal to wrap up the win. We now look forward to playing the winners of the South or West in the County final. |
